LITTLE PLAYERS

AGES 5-8 – JULY 10-14 – 9AM-12PM

This fun-filled and creative week will introduce our littlest artists to the world of theatre! The week will include dramatic play and exploration, theatre-based games, design through arts and crafts, and creative creation activities. We’ll step out of our comfort zone and perform for one another, using children’s stories as our dramatic texts.

Jr players

AGES 9-11 – JULY 10-14 – 1PM-4PM

Jr Players welcomes campers from ages 9-11 to make creative decisions and work together in an ensemble, the foundation of all of our youth programming. Campers will explore performance creation with an emphasis on acting and storytelling. There will also be the opportunity to explore skills related to design and directing. Campers will build confidence while creating final performances that tell a complete story through staging, acting, and costume/prop elements.

IMPROV PLAYERS

AGES 12-17 – JULY 17-21 – 1PM-4PM

Improv Players is the perfect camp for any young performing artist, whether they are highly experienced or a complete beginner. The camp will cover the fundamentals of improvised theatre, a style of storytelling where performers use audience suggestions to make the story up as they go along. The results are typically surprising, often impressive, and always hilarious.

Improv is proven to build confidence and improve public speaking abilities both on and off stage. It’s also really, really fun.

Improv Players participants have the opportunity to perform at our annual variety show, PlayFest.

IMPROV PLAYERS: THEATRE SPORTS

AGES 12-17 – JULY 24-28 – 1PM-4PM
FINAL SHOWDOWN JULY 28 @ 7:30PM

Improv Players: Theatre Sports brings the heat of competition to our young improvisers. Participants will get an overview of the fundamentals of improv and then learn a variety of hilarious games. We’ll then break the group into smaller teams and build towards our final performance: a competition-style theatre sports throwdown. Teams will compete in front of an audience, scored by local celebrity judges, to determine who the 2023 champs are.
