About the show

‘Fair is foul and foul is fair’ in this murderous Shakespearean classic. A brave general named Macbeth receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the throne for himself. He is then wracked with guilt and paranoia. Haunted by witches and spirits, this ensemble production is guarantees a haunting night of theatre unlike any other in Fort McMurray.

This production supports our mission of empowering artists to take ownership of their craft because of the level of encryption required to bring the text to life. The act of deciphering the intention and action embedded in the Bard’s text must be supported by performance – a process by which that can be practiced in all text. That is why Shakespeare’s work, from an educational perspective, has stood the test of time.”
